MD Reminder App Privacy Policy by Ivanchik G (hereinafter "Developer," “us”, “we”, or “our”) respects the privacy of users of my mobile application (hereinafter "App") and is fully committed to protecting the personal information that users provide to us when using our App.

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter the "Privacy Policy") is intended to describe my practices regarding the information we may collect from you (the user or "you") when you use my App, how we may use such information, and your rights and options regarding it.

1. Your Consent – please read carefully.

By downloading, installing, accessing, and/or using the App, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy, including the collection and processing of your personal data (as defined below). If you disagree with any of the terms herein, you may not download, install, access, or use the App and must promptly and permanently delete the App and any part thereof from your systems and devices and cease all use thereof.

Please note: You are not legally obligated to provide us with any personal information. By providing us with personal information, you acknowledge and agree that you are doing so voluntarily for the purposes described in Section 4 below, and that we may retain such personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any applicable laws and regulations.

2. Which information we may collect on our Users?

We may collect two types of data and information from our Users:

• Non-personal Information: This type of information is non-identifying and non-identifiable information that does not directly reference the user's identity from which it was collected.

• Personal Information: This type of information can identify the user or may be identifiable with reasonable effort either alone or when combined with other data. It may also include private or sensitive information. For clarity, any non-personal information linked or associated with personal information shall be treated as personal information as long as such a connection or linkage exists.

Personal and non-personal information collected in connection with the App may include:

• The User may also automatically provide us with certain technical non-personal information and aggregated usage information, such as the User's mobile device brand and model, operating system type and version, screen resolution, manual user settings, clickstream data, interactions and activities within the App, usage duration, timestamps, crash and error logs, etc.

• The User may also grant the App certain permissions to access information stored in their device's address book regarding the User's contacts. Such information may also include contact data stored locally by the User via certain third-party applications installed on the device (e.g., WhatsApp, etc.). We do not collect this information; it remains stored locally on the User's device and may be utilized to enable additional App features that rely on these permissions.

• The User may voluntarily provide us with other non-personal and personal information, such as specific contact details provided when contacting us (and any additional information related to such contacts) and/or other information related to actions taken by the User in connection with the App.

We do not collect any personal data about you or related to you without your consent, which is obtained, among other ways, through your active acceptance of the EULA and the Privacy Policy.

3. How Do We Collect Information on Our Users?

We collect non-personal information through your use of the App. In other words, we may be aware of your use of the App and may gather, collect, and record information related to such usage, either independently or through the assistance of third-party apps as detailed below. We may also collect non-personal information through the processing, analysis, and anonymization of personal information provided by you.

We want to emphasize that the App does not transmit personal information to third parties. All personal information collected through App usage is processed and stored exclusively on your device. This data is used to ensure the functionality of the App, as well as to improve its performance and optimization.

We store non-personal and personal information either independently or with the assistance of our authorized third-party service providers, as detailed below.

4. What are the Purposes of the Collection of Information?

We collect non-personal and personal information in order to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the App and all related features, including statistical and research purposes.
• Enable us to further develop, customize, and improve the App based on common user preferences, usage patterns, characteristics, and anonymized data.
• Create and provide our research and business partners with anonymized data and other aggregated, statistical, and inferred non-personal information.
• Enhance the user experience by delivering more relevant and accurate information, services, features, functionalities, and technical assistance and support.
• Comply with applicable laws.

5. Sharing Information with Third Parties

We will not share any personal information we collect with any third party, except in the following cases:

• To satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, or governmental request.
• To enforce this Privacy Policy and/or the EULA, including investigating potential violations thereof.
• To detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
• To respond to User's support requests or other correspondences.
• To respond to claims that any use of the App violates the rights of third parties.
• To protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the Developer, any of its Users, or the general public.
• When the Developer undergoes any change in control, including by means of merger, acquisition, or purchase of all or substantially all of its assets.
• To collect, hold, process, and/or manage your Personal Information through the Developer's authorized third-party service providers (e.g., Mixpanel’s mobile analytics platform) as reasonable for business purposes, which may be located in a country without the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction.
• Pursuant to your explicit approval before the disclosure.
• To cooperate with third parties for the purpose of enhancing the User's experience.

For clarity, the Developer may transfer and disclose non-personal information at its discretion.

6. Minors

To use the App, you must be over the age of thirteen (13). The Developer does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of thirteen (13) and does not wish to do so. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any stage to verify that minors under the age of thirteen (13) are not using the App. In the event that we become aware of a person under the age of thirteen (13) using the App, we may prohibit and block such User from using the App and will make all efforts to promptly delete any Personal Information related to such User.

7. Security

We take great care in implementing and maintaining the security of the App and our Users’ Personal Information. The Developer employs industry-standard procedures and policies to ensure the safety of its Users’ Personal Information and to prevent unauthorized use of any such information. However, we do not and cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.

8. Third Party Software

The App may utilize certain third-party software and/or services to collect and/or process the information detailed herein. We use Google Analytics to collect and analyze user data. In addition to our own privacy policy, we also adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement. These documents regulate the collection, use, and transmission of information related to Google APIs.

9. Third Party Services

The App may offer links to certain Third Party Services’ applications installed on your device, through which you may further interact with your mobile contacts. Please be advised that such Third Party Services are independent of the Developer and may collect non-personal and/or personal information about you. The Developer assumes no responsibility or liability with regard to privacy matters or any other legal matter related to such Third Party Services. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies and terms of use of such Third Party Services, as their terms, not ours, will apply to any interactions with or through such Third Party Services.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Developer reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, so please revisit this page frequently. We will provide notice of substantial changes to this Privacy Policy on the App. Such substantial changes will take effect seven (7) days after such notice was provided through any of the aforementioned methods. Otherwise, all other changes to this Privacy Policy are effective as of the stated "Last Revised" date, and your continued use of the App after the Last Revised date will constitute acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, those changes.

By contacting us, you represent that you are free to do so and that you will not knowingly provide the Developer with information that infringes upon third parties’ rights, including any intellectual property rights. You further acknowledge that notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, any and all rights, including intellectual property rights in such information provided, shall belong exclusively to the Developer, and the Developer may use or refrain from using any such information at its sole discretion.

12. Permissions

• Disable Screen Lock - Allows for notifications to be displayed even when the screen is locked. This option can be selected by the user in the app's notification settings.

• Advertising ID Permission - Required for displaying advertisements within the application.

• Run Foreground Service - Ensures timely notification triggering regardless of whether the app is active or not.

• Appear on Top of Other Apps - Necessary to expand notifications to full screen over any running program. This display option is selected in the app's settings.

• Reorder Running Apps - Enables the rearrangement of full-screen notifications from foreground to background.

• Run at Startup - Automatically launches the application. This can be configured through device settings.

• Have Full Network Access and View Network Connections - Required for ad functionality within the application.

• Ask to Ignore Battery Optimizations - Ensures reminder activation in any conditions. This can be enabled through device settings.

• Prevent Phone from Sleeping - Enables notification triggering even when the device is in sleep mode. This is also configured through device settings.

• Display Notifications as Full Screen Activities on a Locked Device - This option is chosen at the user's discretion in the app's settings and also requires activation through device settings.

• Show Notification - Provides core functionality for displaying notifications.

• Read Your Contacts - This permission is requested from the user if they want to grant the application access to read their contacts. This facilitates the convenient addition of phone numbers, names, avatars, or emails of users into notifications. It is essential for the core functionality of the application.

• Read the Contents of Your Shared Storage - This permission is required for adding a background image to a reminder, including a specific notification sound for a particular reminder, and attaching a document to a reminder. This enhances the versatility and customization options of reminders.
